Builders

FAQ

ANSWER
We are software-driven and focused on creating a single source of building information with our digitization process. Before any lumber is cut, we have an accurate rendering of the home that will be built.

While previous off-site construction companies attempted to vertically integrate too much, too rapidly, Agorus has grown at a deliberate pace. We are focused on refining our process, addressing builders’ pain points, and building a nationally scalable off-site construction solution.

ANSWER
Our pricing is competitive with the rest of the market while producing a higher quality product. We use Premium #1 & #2 Kiln-Dried Douglas Fir, yet our price reflects #2 Douglas Fir rates.

We have two shipping solutions: vertical shipping in a modified shipping container or flat stacking on a truck bed.

ANSWER
Panels can be moved on-site by crane, telehandler, or, if need be, by hand.

We use SEMA, a German software designed specifically for timber construction. We are also developing our own software that will fully automate the translation of building plans into manufacturing instructions.

ANSWER
If we are building the entire structure, we prefer to be the engineer of record for your project to utilize our machinery and process.  However, we can supply just walls, roofs and/or floors (rough framing or with MEP integration) for your projects, without the need to engineer it.

ANSWER
With our process, not only is less labor required, but existing labor is more efficient. This is a key benefit to prefabricated home manufacturing.  About a dozen production line operators can frame a home off-site and a crew of 2-4 can install it.  We are working to partner with various framing companies to install our products.

ANSWER
Digital Twin Design and VR model walkthroughs enable us to see an exact digital rendering of the home that will be built. This makes it possible to address any discrepancies before the plans are sent to the factory.  VR is both a builder’s work tool and a tool to enhance the consumer’s home buying experience.

ANSWER
Yes, we build precisely per plan requirements.  We will ask several questions in the beginning to make sure no details are missed or overlooked.

ANSWER
Yes, we have an in-house install team, but we also enable builders and framers to install themselves.
